The quavery status-quo gets totally shot to hell when Devon strikes up a friendship (and a powerful fantasy) with sinewy lawn-mower man Trent (Rockwell), who dwells in a trailer parked in the middle of a lush forest. This unusual drama can be a tad bossy about its socio-sexual-political subtext, but director Duigan (The Leading Man) quietly allows its disturbing yet oddly tender core to shine through.
